  • Position Summary

    Change Resource and Support Services (CRSS) is seeking compassionate, dependable, and trauma- informed aides to provide individualized support to children and adolescents with behavioral, emotional, and developmental challenges. You will support youth placed in out-of-home care settings, who may require 24-hour coverage (with a maximum of 8-hour shifts per day). The role involves implementing structured behavioral plans, providing emotional support, ensuring safety, and reinforcing therapeutic goals in educational or residential settings.

Key Responsibilites

Direct Support & Supervision

  • Provide continuous one-on-one support, supervision, and behavioral guidance based on the individual’s IEP or treatment plan.
  • Implement and reinforce strategies from behavior intervention plans (BIPs), IEP accommodations, or individualized care plans.
  • Assist youth with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, including hygiene, routines, transportation, and meal provision/supervision.
  • Ensure the physical and emotional safety of the assigned youth at all times.
  • Manage crises using approved de-escalation techniques and report incidents immediately.

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain accurate, timely hourly and daily progress notes, incident reports, and communication logs.
  • Participate in shift handovers and team meetings to discuss youth progress and support needs.
  • Communicate professionally with teachers, therapists, caregivers, and team members.

Support in Residential Settings

  • For out-of-home placements: provide support during structured day and night routines, including overnight shifts if scheduled

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass state and federal criminal background checks.
  • Willingness to undergo and pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • May require occasional flexibility to work rotating shifts (morning, afternoon, or overnight) including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must have proof of eligibility to work in US.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Desired but not required to have Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) as well as full auto insurance coverage (From time-to-time, you may be required to transport client to an appointment)
  • Additional Training
  • Certified Medication Technician (CMT)
  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI)
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Trauma-Informed Care training
  • Child Safety
  • Prior experience working with children/youth with IEPs, behavioral needs, or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience in residential, school, or clinical support roles.
  • Candidates without certifications are still encouraged to apply. Training may be provided for qualified individuals.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Positions are Full-time; limited part-time may be available.
  • Three Shifts Available: 7 am – 3 pm; 3 pm – 11 pm; 11 pm - 7 am
  • Shifts are a maximum of 8 hours per day
  • Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional pay may be offered for candidates with CMT/CPI/CPR/FIRST AID certifications
